Even ignoring the issues of building green, there is a
tremendous amount of knowledge necessary to build a quality house to today’s
standards, both due to complex building codes and the increased expectations of
the consumer. Building green
requires a significant amount of additional education, and although the
information is available, most of green building is rarely done. Most of the green building case studies, and to some degree
the literature focuses on either the health of the planet or the health of
occupant, but not both. In
designing the sensible house, it was clear that addressing both issues would be
a central theme. The following links contain the design details.
